Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
QVi ("we," "us") is an art shop operated as a sole proprietorship in Washington, USA, at qviarts.com. This explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the site or ordering, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- You provide: name, shipping/billing address, email, phone (required for shipping/delivery coordination), order details, address-change requests, support statements, and any damage or destruction evidence you choose to upload for a case.
- Payment: processed directly by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
- Automatic and security data: IP/network signals, device/browser type, cookies needed for checkout handoff, and bounded security/audit records used to prevent fraud and protect private order links.
How we use it
- Process, fulfill, and ship orders; if international checkout returns later, prepare required customs documents
- Communicate about orders through QVi-designed email sent by Resend and provide support
- Prevent fraud and meet legal/tax obligations
- With your consent, send occasional updates (opt out anytime)
How we share it
We do not sell your information. We share it only with providers needed to run the shop: Stripe for payment, Neon for the order database, Resend for transactional email, Cloudflare for security and private Cloudflare R2 evidence storage, hosting providers, shipping carriers and destination customs authorities, and when required by law. Evidence is not sent as an email attachment and the evidence bucket is not public.
Cookies, retention & security
We use cookies needed to run checkout and understand usage; you can disable them in your browser, but checkout handoff may not work. Private order links use high-entropy tokens, and sensitive requests require a short-lived email code. We retain uploaded case evidence until 180 days after the case closes, then delete the evidence content unless an active dispute or export hold applies. We retain non-content audit metadata and file hashes as needed for security, legal, tax, and dispute records. We take reasonable measures to protect data, though no online transmission is fully secure.
Order email choices
Transactional messages are necessary to confirm and service an order. If Resend reports a complaint or permanent delivery failure, we suppress future automated email to that address. Contact us if you believe suppression was applied in error; we verify the request before changing delivery status.
Your rights
Under laws like the California CCPA and EU/UK GDPR, you may access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data and opt out of marketing. Contact [email protected]. Our site is not directed to children under 16.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy; the date above will change. Questions? [email protected].
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of qviarts.com and any purchase from QVi. By using the site or ordering, you agree to them.
Our products
We sell original artwork and made-to-order prints. We display colors as accurately as we can, but actual colors may vary by screen, and handmade or printed items may show slight natural variation. Originals are one of a kind. Limited-edition prints are produced in a numbered edition of 15 per image and ship with a hand-signed, numbered Certificate of Authenticity (for example, 7 of 15) recording the title, year, medium, and edition number. Open-edition prints and art postcards are unnumbered and do not include a certificate.
Pricing & payment
Prices are in US dollars and may change. For orders delivered in Washington, sales tax is calculated from the confirmed delivery address and includes taxable shipping charges. For other US states where QVi is not registered or required to collect, checkout may show $0 seller-collected sales tax. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept, decline, or cancel and refund an order (e.g. if an item is unavailable, mispriced, or we suspect fraud). Made-to-order prints enter production after purchase.
Intellectual property
All artwork, images, and content on this site are the copyrighted property of QVi. Buying a print or original gives you ownership of that physical item only — it does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights. You may not copy, reproduce, or commercially use any artwork without our written permission.
Liability & governing law
The site and products are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the order. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA; disputes are handled in the courts of King County, Washington.
Changes & contact
We may update these Terms; continued use means you accept them. Questions? [email protected].
Refund & Return Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact [email protected] within 7 days of delivery. QVi may ask you to use the private order page to identify the affected item and quantity and upload photos. We review each item and may approve a refund or replacement; we do not ask you to email evidence attachments.
Limited editions and evidence
Each limited-edition print is one of 15 and ships with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity; any approved return or replacement of a limited-edition print must include its certificate, and the returned print is retired from the edition to preserve its integrity. Do not destroy artwork unless QVi first approves a remedy in principle and sends a separate destruction-evidence request. If requested, follow the safety instructions and upload the result through the private order page. Damage or destruction evidence is reviewed manually and is not public.
Made-to-order prints
Because each print is produced for your order, prints are final sale except for damage/defect.
Original artwork
Originals may be returned within 14 days if in original, undamaged condition. Email us first. Return shipping (and any international return duties) is the buyer's responsibility unless the item was damaged or not as described. Refunds are issued after we receive and inspect the piece.
Cancellations & refunds
Cancel for a full refund before your order ships (for prints, before production begins). Approved refunds return to the original payment method. QVi marks a refund complete only after Stripe confirms it; a network or provider delay may leave it processing while we reconcile the same refund operation, and your bank may take longer to post it.
Replacements
An approved replacement is linked to the original paid order and does not create a second charge. It may ship in one or more packages with its own tracking. The case closes after the approved remedy is complete.
Lost packages
If tracking shows delivered but you haven't received it, or a package seems lost, contact us and we'll help open a carrier claim.
Shipping Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
We ship from Seattle, WA, USA. Domestic checkout is being prepared and will be available after production verification. International checkout is currently unavailable.
Processing time
Most prints are made to order — please allow 5–7 business days for production before shipping. Originals and in-stock items ship within 2–3 business days. Orders and replacements may be split into more than one shipment; tracking and delivery status are shown for each shipment.
Methods, rates & times
- Domestic (US): via a tracked carrier, typically up to 14 business days after dispatch. Rates shown at checkout.
- Japan and South Korea: planned with prepaid duties-and-taxes shipping, but unavailable until route verification is complete.
- Other international destinations: not supported.
Import duties & taxes (international)
QVi's policy is that buyers should not receive a later duties or tax bill after checkout. Japan and South Korea will use DDP only after the provider, carrier billing, customs handling, and physical route tests are complete. International checkout is currently unavailable and will not fall back to duties due on delivery.
Packaging, tracking & issues
Prints ship flat in rigid mailers or rolled in tubes; originals are carefully packed. You'll receive lifecycle email when a shipment is created or tracking changes. A carrier exception may appear as delayed until it recovers or is delivered. We aren't responsible for carrier delays but will always help resolve issues — if a package is lost or damaged, contact [email protected].
Address changes
Use the private order page to request an address change before fulfillment handoff. A request requires email verification and manual review of tax, customs, carrier, fraud, and shipping effects. It does not change the address attached to the paid order. Once a shipment exists, contact us immediately; a change may no longer be possible.
